Make us Roar!

Maidstone Wind Symphony needs your support for a major recording project with British Composer Award winner Andy Scott.

This October we will be going into the studio with Andy to make the first ever recording of his works for wind orchestra. Andy’s music has most recently been featured on the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition performed by finalist Jess Gillam (saxophone). We have also performed his music regularly ourselves.

The album - entitled Roar - will be produced by the composer himself, as well as featuring world class soloists including Rex Richardson (trumpet), Steven Mead (euphonium), Les Neish (tuba) and Andy Findon (flute). It will be engineered by Grammy award winner David Rowell.

The recording will be officially launched in February 2017 at the Festival of Wind and Brass in Sevenoaks, when we will perform the pieces live with several of the featured soloists.

This is a major project for a charity like MWS, and we need the support of our friends and followers to make it happen.

To support our fundraising campaign, simply text ROAR17 followed by £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070. (Please note you may be charged for this message).

Please don't forget to Gift Aid your donation if you are eligible.

Anyone donating £10 or more via the My Donate site will be thanked in an online list of donors. Donors pledging £20 or more will be named in the CD inlay.

We are sorry, but we won't be able to publicly acknowledge individual donors who support via the text voting option.
