Are you a wind, brass or percussion player? Are you looking for an opportunity to play music to a high standard in a relaxed, fun environment?
If the answer's yes, get in touch!
Maidstone Wind Symphony loves hearing from amateur musicians in Kent and the South East who are keen to play with a wind orchestra.
Ideally, we're looking for players of grade 7-8 standard. But don't worry if you're not! We'd still like to find out more about you.
There's no formal audition to join the band - just let the committee know you'd like to come along to a trial rehearsal.
Rehearsals
We rehearse on Tuesday evenings during school term time from 7.30pm-9:30pm.
Our main rehearsal venue is: Invicta Grammar School, Huntsman Lane, Maidstone, ME14 5DS.
There's free on-site parking available. All you need to bring is your instrument and a music stand.
Concerts
Our concert season runs from November-July.
During this time, we perform 3-5 concerts at venues around Maidstone - including the Proms in the Park outdoor concert at Whatman Park in May.
Don't worry if you can't commit to every concert: we understand that music has to work around your home and work commitments!
Subscriptions
Your first 3 rehearsals with Maidstone Wind Symphony are free. We want to give you a chance to get to know the band before you join us formally.
If you decide to become a member, our subscription fees are:
Adults: £20 per month
Students: £10 per month
Household (multiple members of the same family): £30 per month.

How to join
Send an email to secretary@maidstonewindsymphony.org and we'll arrange for you to come along to a trial rehearsal.
We like to give all new members 2-3 weeks to experience the band. After that, if all's going well, you'll be invited to join us as a fully-fledged member!
