Maidstone Wind Symphony (MWS) collects and retains personal data in relation to its members, volunteers, friends and freelance musicians.
MWS processes personal data for the following purposes: orchestra administration and management, freelance musician and solo performance services and orchestra marketing and promotion. We do so for the legitimate interests of furthering our charitable objectives of providing social, educational and recreational benefits to members. MWS does not consider this to be overridden by any individual’s interest or fundamental rights and freedoms.
Where necessary, MWS will obtain an individual’s consent for the processing of his or her personal data. This includes for marketing and promotional activity (See also Contact and Mailings below).
MWS makes every effort to ensure that the personal data it holds and processes is managed in compliance with UK Data Protection legislation and the General Data Protection Regulations.
Any data held by MWS is visible only to members of the MWS committee subject to the following exception:

Use of this website is monitored by collecting statistical user information. No personally identifiable data is collected in this process. Typically, we collect information about the number of visitors to the website, to each web page, the technology used to browse the internet and the domain from which the visitor originated.
